Goodbye, Climativity...
Hey fam,
I'm back from my vacation! I spent two incredible weeks with my family on a safari in Kenya, exploring several wildlife conservancies, and it was the most magical experience of my life.
I could share a million photos of all the species we saw, but for now, here's just one of my favorites:
After being fully offline and immersed in nature for the longest period since I started this work, I'm now refreshed, motivated, and ready to jump right back into the swing of things.
But first...
🚨I have an IMPORTANT UPDATE: Climativity is about to come to and end... to make way for something bigger and better! After 3.5 great years, we're rebranding (this is the "soft launch), and as an existing newsletter subscriber & loyal community member, you're the first to know.🚨
Don't worry, not too much is changing, but you're about to get a whole lot more out of this. Here's the quick rundown:

'Climativity' is changing to 'The Hopemakers', meaning this newsletter will have a new name, logo, slightly different formatting, and come from a new email address: jacobsimonsays@substack.com
The Hopemakers will consist of 3 main things:
This weekly newsletter that you know and love, with dozens of good news stories you probably didn’t hear about & actions to take.
A monthly project where we help an unsung hero improve their community, using the funds raised by paid subscriptions to directly elevate their project.
This will include an awesome on-the-ground video, building something that the project needs, an impact report, and a town hall with the featured Hopemaker to show how we are literally building a better future as a community!
A community chat to share & celebrate stories of progress.
... And everything is still closely tied to the short form videos on @jacobsimonsays on all major social media platforms.
Really, that's about it!
It should be a seamless rollover, and you don't need to do anything (except add jacobsimonsays@substack.com to your contact list so we avoid the spam folder).
The last important note is about the new tiers:
Free members will continue to get these weekly good news roundups (always).
Paid members will have their $10/month go directly towards the featured project of the month (the impact report will show with 100% transparency where your money is divided up: the project, research, video creation, or to a pool to use for future project support). The community chat and monthly town halls will also be available to paid members.
If you're already a paid subscriber, the amount you pay should not change until your subscription renews!
TL;DR:
Most of you (free subscribers) will hardly notice a change, just a different name and logo.
Paid subscribers will now have their money go directly towards elevating and supporting people who are making the planet better, plus a few new features like a dedicated chat and monthly town halls.
This has been in the works for a while and is the start of my biggest project yet. I'm so glad you're here by my side. Let's keep building a better future, together!
Talk to you very soon,
Jacob
P.S. The first featured project has already been filmed and should be ready by the end of August or early September. It's a really cool way of re-imagining food :)
