Breaking a world record with sea otters [Community Mission #3]
Our third Community Mission is here! Enjoy the story of how I broke a world record with sea otters at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, while we are giving back to their rescue program.
Sea otters are, scientifically speaking, the cutest animals on Earth.

Okay, if you disagree, then you have to at least admit they’re in the top 10, right? After spending two days with these fascinating keystone species and getting to break a world record inspired by their unique behaviors, I like them even more…
The story begins back in 2020 during the thick of Covid-19 lockdowns. I was bored and wanted to do something competitive from my room, so I ended up finding the most ridiculous world records and breaking 42 of them.
Fast forward to today, and I had the chance to visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium, meet their staff, and learn about the best sea otter rescue program in the world. Wanting to make the most of this opportunity, I decided to see if I could break a world record with them too, that somehow helped support their work. This turned into our third Community Mission!
